Is PTFE braided hose compatible with E85?
Yes. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is chemically inert and fully compatible with all fuel types including E85, methanol, and water-methanol injection. It is also compatible with brake fluid, transmission fluid, and engine oil. Do not use PTFE hose for oxygen or strong oxidising agents.
How do I cut braided hose without fraying?
Wrap the cutting point tightly with two layers of masking tape. Cut through the tape and hose with a sharp angle grinder cutoff wheel in a single pass, or use dedicated hose cutting scissors. The tape holds the braid wires in place during the cut. Remove the tape after cutting and blow out the hose before assembly.
How much hose do I need for a full turbo oil feed/return?
A typical single-turbo installation uses 18–24 inches for the oil feed line and 24–36 inches for the return line. Buy in 3-foot increments to have enough to remake a fitting if needed. Our 10-foot coils are the most economical option for full system builds.
